Along the way we will see a calvary: the WELL OF MOOSE , considered as a masterpiece of international Gothic sculpture and a forerunner of Renaissance art. We will stay outside but can go around.

Built in the heart of the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy between 1395 and 1405 by the architect Claus Sluter and at the request of Philippe le Hardi, the well of Moïse is the current tourist emblem of the specialized hospital center La Chartreuse.

Crossed by two rivers, the CHS is founded on the former land of the Charterhouse where the Carthusian monks resided more than six hundred years ago.

Raised in the center of the large cloister, the well of Moses is original in its form and status: hexagonal pile about 7 m high, bathing in a basin fed by the water table, it houses the six prophets of the Old Testament : Moses, Daniel, David, Zechariah, Isaiah and Jeremiah ..
